Mobile Crisis Responder (Peer Level)

By virtue of their own lived experience, a peer support encourages, instructs and informs clients as they take steps to change their quality of life, by engaging them in services, connecting them to resources and promoting self-advocacy in their recovery. 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

1) Peer Support

  • Responsible for providing client peer support and maintain the least restrictive levels of care and treatment
  • Assist the client in identifying services and activities that promote recovery and lead to an increased meaning and purpose
  • Utilize lived experience in recovery to promote hope
  • Assist client in advocating, identifying strengths and barriers, natural supports and connecting to community resources
2) Collaboration
  • Attends team meetings and acts as advocate for the client
  • Collaborates with community agencies to provide comprehensive support and continuity of care
3) Documentation
  • Clinical documentation must be timely and completed within 5 business days from the date of service
  • Must be professional, compliant, and meet WAC requirements
Minimum Requirements:
  • Possesses work-related skills at a higher level than completion of high school, frequently acquired through completion of a trade school, para-professional, or certificate type program.
  • Must have lived experience, and have been in recovery for at least 1 year, as a consumer of Mental Health and/or Substance Use Disorder services or have raised a child that is/was a consumer of Mental Health and/or Substance Use Disorder services.
  • Possesses specific knowledge of best practices and agency processes, typically learned on the job or through a series of trainings.

Starting Salary: $19.62 - $21.01 per hour. This is a full-time, hourly, non-exempt position.

Candidate must possess excellent communication skills, be proficient with computers and possess a high degree of ethics and integrity. Valid Washington Driver's License required.
