Certified Medical Assistant--$5,000 Signing Bonus!!
The Certified Medical Assistant supports behavioral health medical services by performing clinical, administrative, and care-coordination duties under the supervision of licensed medical providers.
Primary duties include:
- Clinical Support
- Prepare clients for psychiatric and medical appointments, including obtaining vital signs, medication lists, allergies, and relevant history.
- Assist providers with exams, procedures, and treatments within the CMA scope of practice.
- Administer screening tools and questionnaires (e.g., PHQ-9, GAD-7, PSC) when ordered by a provider, consistent with behavioral health workflows.
- Provide medication education reinforcement as directed by providers.
- Monitor client safety and promptly communicate concerns to the clinical team.
- Medication & Care Coordination
- Support Medication Management Program workflows by:
- Assisting with refill requests, prior authorization processes, pharmacy coordination, and prescription tracking.
- Ensuring medication changes are accurately recorded and relayed to the care team.
- Coordinate lab orders, collect specimens (if applicable), and ensure results are returned to the ordering provider.
- Track follow-up appointments and support continuity of care for clients receiving psychiatric services
- Administrative & Documentation Responsibilities
- Document all clinical tasks in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) according to agency timelines and standards (in alignment with established documentation expectations across other job classifications).
- Maintain medical supplies, equipment, and exam rooms consistent with infection control and safety standards.
- Assist with telehealth coordination, including preparing clients for virtual psychiatric appointments.
- Process and route provider messages, incoming faxes, lab results, and client inquiries efficiently, using workflows similar to those in the Medical Records and Administrative job descriptions.
- Minimum Requirements: must have current Certified Medical Assistant licensure with the State of Washington Department of Health; must have current CPR certification, and must have experience working in medical, behavioral health, or social service settings.

Starting pay range $23.65 - $24.07 per hour DOE. And a $5,000 signing bonus!! This is a full-time (40 hours per week) non-exempt, hourly position.
